Meet Jackie:
How long have you been a nurse? I have been a nurse for almost two decades, specifically in emergency services.
What made you decide to work in the wellness sector? A few years ago I became involved in improving my own health and wellness that I developed a passion for helping others reach their health and wellness goals as well.
Meet Lauren:
Why did you become a nurse? My mother has been a nurse for 40 years and that has always inspired me. I love science and medicine and helping people heal. Being a part of that is quite rewarding. I have been a nurse since 2010 and in the ER since 2012.
What do you do to stay healthy? I work out 5-6 days a week. I love to run and spin. I am a SoulCycle junkie! I also enjoy hiking and being outside. The beach is my favorite place to unwind.
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about finding an optimal work/life balance, working toward and reaching goals, both long and short-term. Last year I completed the Boston Marathon with my dad. I want to thrive in and out of work.
Meet Caty:
What did you do before you became a nurse? I received my BSN from Point Loma Nazarene University. After graduation I worked in the ER and moved to a cardiac/renal transplant step down ICU. I was also a lifeguard for the City of San Diego - primarily Pacific Beach and the Junior Lifeguard program.
What do you do to stay healthy? I am up for any activity that involves exercise. You can find me often at La Jolla Sports Club popping between weights or outside running all over town. I have a love for the ocean and waves and will be out surfing whenever my schedule permits.
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about overall wellness - whether it be through nutrition, exercise, or mindfulness. I thrive being around people that strive to be the best versions of themselves and improve their quality of life. I have such a love for meeting new people and sharing common interests of health/wellness.
